when pressing the primer bulb air seams to be leaking at the carb somewhere but all the pipes look good. i Did a quick google and there is an internal air valve which can get stuck any ideas?

would a seal kit fix the problem?

It’s not the prime bulb itself is it? I had one go on a strimmer last year. Took ages to work out what it was as it was still filling up but very slowly

no its not the bulb as i can hear the air at the carb end when i press the bulb

one way check valve sounds kaput, new carb time.

I was afraid of that! a new seal kit won't fix the problem? ive never heard of this valve.

from what I understood its a valve with a very thin piece of plastic inside that only lets air one way, and purging the primer too many times over time causes it to fail and lets air both ways, they cant be replaced so need to swap the full carb. Im not 100 percent sure this is your problem but ours was only half filling the primer bubble then not filling the primer bubble at all. We tried a kit but nothing changed so opted for a new carb.
