Hi. The feed rollers on my 1928 won't engage.also the computer display is showing a much lower rpm than normal. Engine revs still should the same. Could this be an electronic solinoid problem or worse the computer is busted? I've had the alternator tested and is fine. Advice will be much appreciated.

Are the revs on the display fairly constant or fluctuating a lot ?

Does your chipper have the 'EHB' box fitted with the idle, set and run buttons or the later 'RDS' unit ?

The revs are fairly constant just showing abut 300 rpm less than Burnsall both on idle and run.
It is the older EHB box .

In the mean time if you need to use the chipper, if you simply remove the plug on the solenoid valve by undoing the single screw , the feed rollers should work. You will need to control the feed rollers on the red bar though if chipping capacity timber or you will stall the engine.

Hi Jase. Texted you this morning .I assume now that's a landline or I got the number wrong if you didn't get my message . Had to go to Germany and will call Friday when I'm back at the chipper. Sorry for the confusion.
