Chain lube

Hi guys, got offered some chain lube of a farmer friend of mine, sounds like its rotatech branded, any experience with this lube?

I’ve only ever used stihl’s own synth plus and read a few stories about oil pumps not performing as they should from not using stihls own brand due to viscosity differences, any advice?

I tend to be a brand man with a lot of things normally, never like to stray away [emoji51] the mrs says i’m anal!!! There’ll be nearly 50 litres of it, so would last me ages as i’m not a daily user, just wondered if it was gona be more hassle than it was worth. With stihl oil in a stihl saw you know what your getting.

seriously I think the " brand " of chain oil is not so critical . I use my local dealer branded oil, not sure who makes it but it is fine .  Its when you start getting into using " vegie " oil that some times problems occur . Obviously viscosity can play a part relative to ambient temp .
