Alaskan upgrade?

I need to extend the rails on my Alaskan as I have some very Large Oak butts to mill. I'm just wondering what my best options are to do this?

 

Is it to buy the upgrade kit from Rob D? I'm not 100% sure what this includes and whether or not it will allow me to extend my current mill as well as upgrade with the new fittings etc.

 

Or do i go down the route of buying a new mill altogether? maybe a panther setup, I am looking to buy a winch kit as well so the upgrade kit plus a winch will already come it 220 + VAT.

I could then sell the mk111 mill if anyone is interested in it on here? Its not had much use....

 

What are peoples thoughts?

??? I'm on about the width of the alaskan? I use a ladder thats plenty long enough for the first cut...

Get the rails from rob easy peasy 

i can uo my 36 to 48 .. two rails and a couple of plates to join them job done .,

as for winch to be honest you can get em on eBay cheaper and just the same .. you just have change a couple of bolts to fit the frame but it’s simple ..
