Hi guys, im looking at going into working for a company that clears along side railway tracks, does anyone work for any companys like this? and if so what is the pay, conditions, work load? etc

Im doing my PTS course at the end of Febuary so hopefully i will be working soon but i would like to hear for guys who have first hand experience, instead of all positive generic/comments that are posted on thier websites.

Cheers

It sounds like you need to be up for working anywhere and anytime, which i dont mind but only getting a few days here or there would be shite. At the moment i plan to work for them for 2 years to give myself some experiance as the tree firms around here wont take me on with the limited amount of exp i have at the min.

I’d say make sure you have got the work before you do anything. I got messed about and told if I got my pts I would get work. Wasted £5-600 and three days of work plus fuel and digs to be ignored after I got my ticket

Are you given the work as someone who is self employed?
