Could be dirty fuel semi blocking an injector which would give a poor explosion - giving the judder. Or maybe a pump issue, a sensor issue which would give a false reading etc...get it plugged in for a full report. Mine has run spot on since the reboot!

That sounds possible (with my limited knowledge) - my fuel light had come on before filling up the other day, so I suppose some bottom of the tank nasties could be interfering?

I like your guess providing it just needs cleaning as opposed to replacing- more than the bloke at the mechanic's saying possibility of a fuel injector- albeit based upon my pretty rough description.

Hey Pete, thanks for your thoughts! 

 

This has all happened within a week of an MOT with no advisories or any faults. Aside from mentioning on the phone an injector issue, he also said there was a chance it was something to do with the ECU. 

 

I'll let y'all know what happens with it.
