Hi Steve

I was hoping you would reply.

It is for functional use, its for my wife who makes cakes etc and is always struggling with a standard size rolling pin, thats why i have asked for those dimensions. Not got a clue about colours, but would like something thats got a nice mixture (if that makes sense) of colour / grain. Any ideas ?

well usually woods for kitchen use are not that colourful but let me see what i have kicking around and i'll get back to you.

i have found a cracking bit of oak i could use or i have beech or possibly some nice sycamore but i need to cut it up first.

 

annoyingly most of what i have is either just too short or not quite 3"...

 

sods law.
