Hi everyone

Just recently passed my cs38 and im slowly getting my basic climbing kit together (hopefully before xmas) and i was hoping for some guidence on marking up my kit. So, what is the best way to go about this? Would it be a good idea to make my own serial numbers up on each item or could i just use some spray paint, tape or something else?. Also is thier anything i should stay away from in regards to passing loler, as i would imagine stamping/punching items is a no no. Cheers

Most new decent kit now has its own unique number already marked on making identification easy, for soft items tape marker pen and shrink wrap do nicely and hardware engraving lightly into the paint on a non load bearing place like the edge of the gate on a krab.
Don't spray anything as this could affect an items strength.
Just keep a simple record of all your stuff and when used/checked.

Also. It's a good idea to mark the date when each item enters service, particularly textiles such as ropes, harness and cord.
Buttons do a rope marking kit, but your Loler examiner should be able to help you if the original markers come off (which they often do).
