i was planning to herbicide the stumps on the day of cutting then inject any regrowth as per FC best practice guidelines, unless someone knows of another way?

I've heard of a paste being made of powdered lime being used, does the job so I'm told, but obviously takes longer to act, maybe worth considering if you don't want to use herbicides, probably cheaper to in comparison to say Broadsword or Timberill etc.

We always cut and then spray with roundup within 20 mins of cutting, then go back about 6 months later and re-spray any regrowth. Seems to work well.

Ditto.
