Ed, I see you from near beaumoris.

Must be a rough area though, went there last year to a campsite either in or just outside Beaumoris and there was a sign on entering the camp.

Read something like.

No camp fires

No noise after 9pm

No ball games

No Shooting

No F@@king what!!! I said when I saw it.

Seriously though, nice area, my mates got a boat at Port Dinorwic, down there regular fishing on the swillies and out beyond the bar.

Wrote the boat off six months ago on that depth pole in the middle of the swillies :drunk: Cost about 25K I think to put it right. He nearly hit it once before that, he's a nightmare.

My mates Chinese and hes bought some land I think in Caenarfon or might even be near Port Dinorwic. He's going to build a Chinese resturant, sometime hopefully in the next twelve months or so, depending on how slow planning drag their @rses.

We will be going on the opening night, normally some free food and beer, see if I can get you an invite, he'll need local support.

His isn't your standard chinese restraunt, it's a bit more chilled and trendy, ie you can just go in the bar and have a bar meal with decent music playing. He also has live acts normally twice a week.

Will be good when it's up and running, I'll try and find out exactly where.

Nice one Dave:icon14:

Not many decent eateries round here.

Not many decent campsites either.

North Wales is a bit of an enigma, in that the scenery is stunning, the roads fantastic, the coast and beaches are fantastic. but.....

The Welsh are utter shite at doing anything decent. Cafe's and pubs are generaly horrible, towns are grim, people unfriendly.

The local authorities are the most corrupt in the country, and will only allow developement if it benifits them.

Cearnarfon is likely to loose its world heritage status because the local authority gave permission for some hideous development of flats on the waterfront, right next to the historic dock and castle.:cussing:

Edit: Nice one Dean  :smokin:

Know what you mean about unfriendly, went off to the co-op type shop going toward Caernarfon just past the marina to get some munchies while we were out.

Two women in the shop were talking english, I asked them where the hoola hoops were in broad yorkshire and they then carried there conversation on from there in Welsh.

I just put all the stuff I had got at the till, told them to cash it up while I got my wallet out the car and didn't go back. :icon14:
