they arnt wood they are old copper oil line pipe, squished flat, and i did have to balance them out a tad by glueing a bit more on the back. its the old oil pipe again joining the spalted/rotten bit of ash to the oak bits.

 

i totally copied a great local to me, craftsman, peter lanyon i think
