Hi guys

i dont have a lot of exsperience with these got a big 60 fter to remove any do's or dont's ?

its got to be dismantled as it sits between 2 buildings

Bit brittle and snappy on the twigs, I did a reduction on one today and you do need to be a bit careful out on the tips.

 

Dismantle should be ok though, the timber seems strong enough.

I did a big one a few years ago, it was quite like ash as I remember, not particularly scary in any way. We logged it all but I noticed afterwards that it has a really attractive pale timber with a nice grain so it might be worth milling some if you can.

I reduced one about half that size some years ago in a back garden with on access in SW London. Very brittle and snappy !

Good move. I only had a 2.5" diameter tip today, but I dont recommend it tbh....
