Bought myself a 201tcm last week after the customer decided to drive over my echo. Current feeling = why didn't I buy another echo [emoji24]. The stihl keeps cutting out and without manually being able to tweak the tune what do I do? Anyone know if this will improve after a good few more tanks of fuel or should I take it back asap?

Spud what's the low down on porting this saw? I'm having a bit of a debate with a colleague whether it's pointless or not. (Does the tcm cancel it out or does it tune itself with better performance blah blah blah). Anyway, what's your thoughts and experience with it

Just caught up on this, the early TCMs had a restrictive exhaust, the later ones had a much needed upgrade. If the saw has the flock type air filter then try the mesh one. A muffler mod will also help the engine breath but would leave it at that as the later saws were a fair bit better than the early ones that had a multitude of issues.
