a decent tree ident guide?

i seam to be struggling to ident a lot of trees lately, does any one know of a decent book or web site not just the common tree leaf guide, i want leaf, twig, bark, bud, shape, flowers, winter, summer, etc etc etc. with lots of photos. ive already got the readers digest one and loads of other general ident guides but i want more detail ive found one decent american site which has lots of info but nothing english Ontario Trees and Shrubs - Common Names

 

any ideas?

I'd also recommend Collins Tree Guide by David More and Owen Johnson. However, there are no photos in this book but excellent colour drawings. I'd also recommend Tree Recognition: A Pocket Manual by Ian Richardson and Rowena Gale if you want something smaller for when your out and about. However, this one also doesn't have photos but fairly straight forward line drawings.

aye, i'll add collins too.

if you are doing city stuff where there is alot of exotic stuff the R.H.S guide to plants, shrubs and tree is excellent. i know most abourists wont be interested in the plants bit but the coverage of exotic stuff is good.

i wish someone would do a good (free) website of i.d. with related pest and dissease and hook it all up together for cross refrencing...
