Another vote for having choice of bars here, an 18" or 20, plus the 25" for bigger stuff. Leave the 261x15" as is. Having only a 15" saw and a 25" would be clumsy for a lot of jobs. With all respect, guv.

Ive got a 661 with a 20" and a 28" and think if you're only buying one bigger saw at the moment it's worth considering - the 661 is absolutely lush, really light and easy to use compared to a 660, say. I tend to skip straight from a climbing saw with a 14" bar to the 661 with 20" for chogging down.

If its Stihl then 461 or 661

 

If its Husqvarna then 390 or 395

 

If its Dolmar then 7900 or 9000/9010

 

I would get a 395
