a friend of mine put a notice on a tree in a property he owns and the 6 weeks ended on the 22nd of April but in the notice he said it was an Oak but from the pictures i have seen it's an ash !(but it is the only tree in the property I believe )

does this make the 211 notice void and he has to put in another one in

or is it just a case of phoning LPA

I would want something in writing from the council or wait 6 weeks for the new notice. The first notice was inaccurate

Subject to checking the detail, memory suggests that the notice should contain sufficient detail to adequately identify the tree.

If it's the only one there, it might be considered sufficient.

If there's been no response from LA it might be that they've had a look and don't want to TPO. If could also be that they've done nothing.

A phone call / email to hasten response to original notice would be a good way to try and get a flavour of how it's progressing (or not.)
