Chainsaw Sprocket

Hope someone can give me some advice on this.

I recently bought a Oregon chain for a saw, this is the one I bought: [ame=https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00665KPX0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1]Oregon 73LPX068E Chain, 3/8-inch Pitch, 68 Drive Links: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools[/ame]

The chain fits the bar fine as that is the type of chain stamped on the bar, this is the one I have: [ame=https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0029ZQDZ0/ref=pe_385721_51767431_TE_dp_2]Makita 415045655 45 cm/18-Inch Sprocket Nose Bar - Multi-Colour: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools[/ame]

However I don't think the sprocket on the saw is correct for the chain, its a 325-7T similar to this: OREGON PRO CHAINSAW SPROCKET DRIVE RIM 11892 .325 7 TOOTH | eBay

I'm not even sure what i'm looking for even exists however the chain seems to grind on the sprocket a lot. Can anyone tell me if there is a different type of sprocket available to suit this setup?

Thanks in advance.... :blushing:

Thanks for the reply monkeymoreton, is a Chinese saw 58cc maybe: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=royal+4645+chainsaw&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwj4jrOP3L3TAhVKJMAKHRr7C0oQ_AUICCgD&biw=1366&bih=600#imgdii=t8yMqVNphcbsyM:&imgrc=qIcYw0x_qK5VlM:

It originally had the smaller depth bar with what i would call a standard 18" much lighter chain....

You are running a 5/16 pitch sprocket with a 3/8 pitch chain,so change one or the other. You might have a problem finding a sprocket to suit that saw however.
