Yep , on the Devon side of the Tamar between Tavistock and Gunnislake

 

We had a guided talk through those woods about twenty years ago, and they looked good then. Although i did wonder how they were going to get the final crop out with out obliterating the remaining crop.

Biggest problem for CCF in the UK is low light /sunshine levels compared to a Continental climate. Clearfell or complete coppicing enables a more substantial regrowth here. But now we have Sitka Spruce which suits our Atlantic climate in UK and Ireland.
