Yep, the bit of plastic were it goes onto is fecked. No spring though, just some sort of cable to stop the handle over stretching I think.

 

In my quest for a parts diagram I came across this. Wtf! A 28inch bar?

No on the IPL, just got the top handle and Mtronic one. The one I had would barely pull a 12" let alone a 28" but it livened up a bit once I fettled it a bit:thumbup:

Did you fit giant bucking dawgs to it so you could fell redwoods with it too?

 

Seriously though those mtronic ones port ok do they?

The only Mtronic one I have had in the workshop had a direct hit by a falling limb - new handle etc! I am sure I could wring a bit more out of one though!

The back handle Ms201 m-tronic is a fabulous saw. The front handle is kind of 3/4 wrap, so you can use the saw in any orientation without straining the wrists, really very well banned and ergonomic, great with a 12 inch bar for getting into thick hedges and congested undergrowth.
