It's been a while since I climbed regularly :blushing: and all my kit is now more than 10 yrs old and without the original certificates of conformity etc.

So, I am looking for a 'bundle' for two basic climbing kits to allow us to carry out aerial inspections etc and comply with LOLER.

I think all I will need is:

2 x harnesses

2 x climbing ropes

2 x eye to eye prusik cords

2 x micro-pulley / hitchclimber pulleys

2 x adjustable strops

8 x karabiners

2 x helmets

Any suggestions of a good lightweight kit and any 'ready-made' bundles gratefully received. I've seen a few complete kits on websites but they seem to contain more than I need.

Some arb suppliers do kits, theyre usually very basic,no frills but all you need too get the job done. Both skyland and fr jones do them if memory serves

Maybe better going to your nearest supplier and see if they can do you a deal.

It sure is - are they fancy and expensive mechanical friction devices?

Zigzag= worth its weight in gold for us older climbers. 👍

Paul's not actually that old:biggrin::biggrin: but he'll feel it if he keeps climbing on a prussic.

£150 over ten years v knackered wrists and elbows. (assuming infrequent usage)

Zigzags are great but if your on a budget hitch climber set up is also very good. All you need is 2 eye to eye friction cords and 2 hitch climber pulleys(either pinto or dmm triple attachments)would do the job.

You might want to add 2 cambium savers and some slings to that list.
