First splitter??

Ok looking to get my first splitter as more wood is coming in than I expected (not complaining) but what would you recommend? Kinetic looks much better than hydraulic... rock machinery make quite a good one by the looks of it. Suggestions??

I find the Oxdale splitters good value for money, started with one now we're using two to keep up with demand.

There not rapid but I've Never tried a kinetic splitter and from what people have told me they hate knotty wood.

Go for wallenstein! They start at £1600 and great splitters. Built like a tank, proper Honda engines and really good uk customer support.

Its a minefield.

I like the look of the Road tow from Pro-arc in Ireland.

Fast and Strong.

I would recommend oxdale or what we have which is ktm.

Both made in England, good quality and those speedy log splitters imo are a waste of time the look cheap and flimsy and can only split easy perfect wood that would be quicker to split by axe.

Here´s my choice. 7 T and adjustable length up to 700 mm.

We use a hycrack splitter on a 24 hp compact. It will split anything and has a good output. It can be dropped to the ground to pickup large rounds. Great machine and I'm really pleased with it.
