well, im in a different field of work and i agree with you all, how many times have you quoted for half a day and it turns into a day and half, like someone said, a quote is a quote, if the customer is not happy, they will get someone else in to do it, personally, i always do a top class job, even when i've shot myself in the foot over the price, thats what makes ACORN JOINERY & BUILDING the best choice for all your building needs!!

no, really, i'm not trying to advertise:lol:, but if you've got a shiney trumpet, you should bloody well blow it!!:001_smile:

Nothing wrong with overcharging for a job.

It makes up for all the ones I undercharge.....

this is very true, if ive put in a quote for a job i didnt want and get the job, then the job goes well, it is a bonus.

BUT

if i like the client, they are speedy with the kettle, sandwichs offered, quick payment, theres gonna be a reduction in that 'some what high price' (especially if they have more work)

strangely, if a highprice accepted from an association or company and there has been no raport with the contact, the price stays the same.

who doesnt like a conciencious client that is prepared for you coming and keeps you informed if the goal post have shifted ?
