Not yet but when I do I'll remount the spare wheel & fit Winch in its place, out the back with a reversing camera. Front mounted winches make front end of the truck too wallowy at speed & synthetic rope is useless + you don't usually get stuck reversing into fields

I had a 55 plate ranger on the power lines with a front mounted wire cable Winch & it made the handling terrible & the front end too heavy in the soft stuff, get it in the back it can take the weight & it balances the truck out when empty.

Arguably I supposed if you have the winch on the back it ads to the loads in the butt. Having it on the front would balance out those days you're feeling a bit light on the steering? 😁

Hi Dave, coffee sludge type stuff in rear diff. Got her up on blocks, took her to 60 mph then turned her off, got back underneath & listened, hard to say without being under load but there is a definite rumble on the axle. £90 for a rebuild kit of bearings so hopefully won't be too bad, it needs to be cheap cos my dog is currently 4 hours into his operation atm...

did you sort your vibration out in the end mate

ive got the same vibration pretty sure its prop centre bearing aswell, ive got the tub off at the min converting into a tipper (hopefully)

:001_smile:

There wasn't any noticeable play in the centre bearing but it was enough to cause the vibes. Would love to convert the back properly but I'm too scared to take the tub off incase I find rot on the chassis. Not really worth the money converting an 02 plate so when I do it'll be a protipper. Co. Uk joby, then I can put it easily onto another truck. Keep us updated on the conversion bud 👍

I think the pro-tippers are currently going through a redesign

yeah I took my tub and wish I hadn't lol. 2 holes in the chassis that you can put your fist in, im going to try and make the existing body tip and keep cost right down as you say mines an 2003 so not worth bugger all but if it works then id rather fire chip and logs at this ol thing than something much newer.
