I am funding it myself and paying it back over 14 installments. If you do end up doing it for Sept 2017 please let me know and we can always meet up before (including the other Arbtalk member) at a site and explore for trees and fungi.

^^^ Cheers, Andrew!

Yeah same here. I spoke to Keeley about the payment option so that's the way I would go. I've paid for the L4 and the unpaid leave to attend lectures means I'm just trying to make some funds back!

I would be coming up from Kent, a friend is on the L6 this year at Barcham and as I understand it we would be completing the classes with that intake, we would be in year one and them in year two but essentially in the same lectures. The added benefit for me would be the lift share as well. He said he was reading in the shower to keep up.

I'll probably make a final decision in the New Year once I've sorted a few things out, but a meet up would be good, we aren't short of places in this part of the world!

Unpaid leave? That's rough! Interesting that we share the class with the second year. I knew the schedule rotated each year but hadn't clocked on to this being because we're in the class with the second year's students! That's even better.

Definitely worth doing but it is a lot of work. I think the research and accuracy of detail on assignments is what makes it so much more time consuming. I enjoy it but that being said I have no social life these days. Chris would be good to see you again.

Hey mate!

So you have started the lvl 6? I admit I have already started working on it even though it has yet to start. I am going through books, making notes (sometimes detailed) and thus getting a good portion of research 'out the way' prior to it actually starting this October. Certainly, from pulling apart segments of the syllabus, and using the example of Arboricultural Plant Health 6.1 'describe living tree wood degradation and how it is influenced by the characteristics of the wood substrate', that seems innocent enough but actually demands a lot of work to set the scene prior to even answering the question (at least, for me).

I never had a social life anyway so that's not something I'll worry about! :001_tt2: :001_tt2:

(just kidding I like doing trips to parks and such with others and going to ATF events etc)
