Iv had 6 Stanley flasks of all different sizes, and out of the 6,4 have failed within 2 years- they just loose all ability to retain the heat (how can they go wrong???).

 

I'd imagine over time air leaks into the vaccum

I've got this Stanley flask at the moment and it's been very good. Holds the heat well compared to all the other redundant stainless steel flasks littering our kitchen cupboards.

I think they lose their memory and forget what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to keep hot things hot and cold things cold but how do they know which to do ?
