ISC mini rope grab

Got an ISC mini rope grab, to fit on my flip line.

Possibly a dumb question but which way round does it go on the flip line I can only assume the UP needs to point to the locking device on the flip line.

Also I assume I have to remove bolt to install ?

There are no instructions with it, or any on ISC website which is a shame.

Also what is the length of plastic coming out of the rope grab to the rope locking device actually for.

The plastic bit is a spring to keep the pressure on the cam.:001_smile:

The plastic coated wire from the cam to the body has no functioning purpose other than to keep the parts together when you take the bolt out to fit your rope (I think).

The wire on mine frayed months ago and started to scratch my arm, so I cut the bugger off. Still works.

I beleive as Jonesie said it is a spring to keep pressure on the cam/rope. There was a thread on here a good while ago and i seem to remember that with the wire missing the rope grab will not pass loler.
