2021 Stihl ms500i (Engine unit only)

 

The is spares or repair.

 

The saw requires a new injection module.

 

The rest of the saw is in good used condition.

It would benefit from parts no 63 & 28 also on the stihl diagram, these are cracked so would be better replaced.

 

I purchased this saw 2nd hand, but unfortunately was not told about this fault and returning it is not possible. So This is what I know and have done:

The saw starts and idles fine, it splutter and stalls when revved.

The pot and piston are unmarked and in excellent condition viewed through the exhaust port.

It has had a new fuel and air filter to eliminate this as potential fault.

The saw has been pressure checked, all seals etc are fine.

The saw has been to the fixers on diagnostics and came back with the injection module as the likely fault. 

 

The problem likely occurred by the wrong fuel filter being fitted which did not have a fine gauze to filter shite from going to the injector.

 

I do not have the spare time or finances to pursue this further.
