plumber kills Subbies!? Go on explain that one.

Some on here won't take their blinkers off and look at it from both sides. Yes he's had good money, and so have Pimlico, the problem is, neither wanted to give when it came to things moving on. Most of us realise he was employed and both sides were in it for the most profit, at least that's how the court saw it.

If he was doing ad hoc days for the same company it would never have come to light.

Scare momgering doesnt benefit trade.

How is that scare mongering ? It is a very high profile case with huge implications for subbies in all industries.

Who killed who? Yes, it is a high profile case, it was posted here a while back. It doesn't have any affect on Bona fida contractors that are working "as and when". The problem comes when people take the p1$$.

Had to argue mine own case on that recently when company said '  Oh you can't get holiday pay or have PPE from us - yr self- employed !' to which I posted up these BBC articles and said ' you are my main source of work ( 40 hrs a week ) and deduct my tax and national insurance at source ' ......next week - my holiday pay appeared on my wage slip and now they are using another pay-stream company who DOES provide holiday 28 days paid - how strange !
