I work on London Underground and the boys on veg clearance get £100 -£120 but if a member of the team is a SPC ( site person in charge ) up to £150 but bear in mind the shift is very short 1am to 4am some of the boys also work days ( longer ) but same sort of money

None of the LUL boys like working on Network Rail as the money is less the shifts are longer and mainly weekend work

The veg clearance Ganges have chainsaw tickets but don't often use saws as strimmers & hedge trimmers cope with ease

I reckon a whole year of experience should mean at least a 50-70% increase in wages!

As long as you hold the ticket it don't matter if you have a year a week or a day the rate is the rate

The railway firms often struggle to find staff with certs so the holder has the advantage, the days of the 1 day in house chainsaw ticket are long gone
