Excuse my ignorance, but I replaced the bar and chain on my saw, and the chain jams on the sprocket. When I compared it to the old chain, the drive links are closer togther.

does anyone know what chain I need to buy? Its a 14"

Its also the quick tension model

Sounds like you have a .325 chain on a 3/8" Picco sprocket. If so, the chain won't fit the nose sprocket of the bar either.

Get the proper chain.

From you description, I would say that you have a 3/8 low profile sprocket and have incorrectly purchased a 0.325 bar and chain.

Two options

1) Buy the correct bar and chain

2) Swap the sprocket

This would do it -http://www.lsengineers.co.uk/rim-sprocket-kit-0-325-7t-for-stihl-ms230-ms230c-part-no-1123-007-1032.html

Rim drive is a better option IMO.

Or this if you want a spur sprocket -http://www.lsengineers.co.uk/chain-sprocket-0-325-7t-for-stihl-ms250-ms250c-part-no-1123-640-2074.html

Avoid the "8T" options as it will make your saw boggy:thumbdown:

It will be worth double checking that you do in fact have a 0.325 chain but if the pitch is smaller (the rivits are closer to each other), It must be that.

Stihl 14" Chain Loop PM3 3/8 Picco 050 - 50 Links

Stihl Rollomatic Guide Bar 14" - 3005 000 4709

it was from lsengineers, so that link you sent looks the best option
