very interesting giant usa fungus worlds biggest!

Where on earth have ypu been for the last 12 years that article was wrote in 2000, anyway sorry to burst your bubble, but I read a much larger colony of Honey Fungus was found recently in Russia.

 

Also an Aspen grove in Washington state may now be the worlds largest living organism, due to all the trees being genetically the same.

ha ha ha, I got all excite over the title!

 

the trouble with the data for the measurements of weight/volume in the Armillaria circles is it doesnt acuratley map the zone, it takes into account ALL the area into the circle and works on an average assumption, false info. Makes a good science headline though.
