Hike Gears

Hello!

I am just starting to participate in some hikes in our area.

I already bought my own tent. And the rest of my hiking gears were from my friends who brought it.

What is a good step to buy a hiking gear?

Should I buy a bag first? A cooking set? A new pair of hiking shoes?

I am really starting, lol. I appreciate any good suggestions. :001_cool:

I personally think that good waterproof boots are very important, do not go cheap here! Ankle support is well worth it!

Buy suitable clothing for the conditions that you may encounter, as in warm wind proof, waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers/over trousers.

a comfortable day pack for day hikes

if your going further afield or staying out, a bigger burgen will hold more gear

other things to consider to carry may include,

lighter

cordage - dyneema cord

survival blanket

superglue

compass

mobile phone

knife

long life dried food/ ration pack

basic first aid kit

a couple of mess tins for boiling water

if your camping out

axe / hatchet

water purification tablets

mosquito / bug repellent

dry bag

solar usb charger

small mirror

look here for all your outdoor gear needs

Google heinnie haynes website

excellent company with fast deliver and really good guides and reviews

enjoy mate
