My workmate pointed out that all the sycamores along the road we were on had brown leaves. On smaller trees all the leaves were brown and dry, on larger trees the tops seemed uneffected. It looks like insect damage (sawfly?) but we couldn't find any on the leaves. Hundreds of trees have been effected along this road and my workmate said he had seen sycamores likie this along the cannal to.

What do you think is causing this?

Are there sycamores in your areas that are being affected?

Here is an image of some leaves. They are scanned so the colour is a bit off.
