Greetings everyone! A sapling, green-shoot, Arbtalk Newbie here. Wanted to jump on and introduce myself, Hi 👋 I’m Mike and I run a small, firewood business called Verrington Firewood, supplying processed logs to in South Somerset, Dorset and the surrounding area. I’m looking to build up the business this year and take on more customers. Which means I’ll be needing more wood. I’m looking for any help, advice or suggestions. We are lucky to have a large Dutch barn on site with plenty of space and good access. It’s just me and my incredible partner, Sarah, usually with the unwanted help from Pip & Max, our Cockapoo and Old English Sheepdog. I’ve set up a profile with a Tip Site and would like to invite any of you guys who are working in the South Somerset/Dorset areas to consider us when you’re looking for a place to offload any hardwood/softwood cords. Hello, I wonder if you can point me in the right direction please, i am looking for free wood , who isn't I hear you saying. i also wanted to know what are the rules in terms of finding wood on the side of the road or that has been cut in the woods etc. do you think it is a good idea to buy an acre of woodland and take what you need. lots of questions I know but I just wanted to get a few answers many thanks for reading this.

Private residence. Please call/email to arrange to use tipsite. Access from 2nd bend in the road, to the right of green, second house from the end. Deposit on gravel drive in front of grey fencing. No roots, woodchips.

Free drop site for any logs that can be cut and split for firewood. Any wood accepted. Happy to have logs dropped on the drive that I will then take and split to dry etc. **No wood Chip**
