  1. Switching autotunes fixed the problem but revved it up without a bar on and clutch flew away along with every single needle of the bearing
  2. I have, I will have to look into husky dealers who can install the firmware I've installed a new carb on a 545 and swapped the autotunes that seemed to work, I could give that a try and see if I get anywhere How much will I be looking at spending if I have to get firmware installed?
  3. The main issue really is the fact that it will not rev at all, it sounds like it's sufficating itself until it dies but not while at idle. New autotune module with the carb, I will look into the fuel lines
  4. T540xp has been recently rebuilt, starts good, does idle but idles better on its side (sometimes dies when straight up) New carb. When throttle is applied it will not spin the chain and bogs down until it dies. Seems to dump fuel. Any help will be appreciated in locating the source of this problem

    Check Valves

I tried repairing it but for future reference anyone who tries repairing one, do it somewhere where the little plastic disc can't be lost! It shot out and vanished into thin air

    Check Valves

Is it possible to transplant the good parts from the good valve into the bad valve?

    Check Valves

The left valve is from the carb I'm working on and is leaking. The valve on the right works perfectly but has slightly bigger drillings but dimension wise it's the same width but slightly shorter. Would it function practically the same as the original? I'm having trouble tracking down a replacement for the original, it's from a AT 1A carb Left valve drilling doesn't go all the way through whereas the right one does, I wouldnt think that would cause any problems but any assistance will be appreciated 👍
  8. I'm struggling to find any info on where the metering lever should be set on this carb, for now I've set it level with body, any help will be appreciated. It has AT on the body and that doesn't match up with any markings on the tool
  9. It's set too high, I'll correct it when the rebuild kit arrives. It must be dumping fuel in since it's getting through the muffler gasket and pressure relief valve
  10. The fuel issue is on hold, my saw won't start now! It'll fire then nothing, probably something clogging the carb or an issue with the needle maybe? It'll start and run at full throttle but the second I let go.. dead. Was running fine earlier in the day. Also seems to be a lot of unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust too
  11. Perhaps my fuel mix was rich, I'm relatively new to mixing my own fuel. Did 50:1 using the markings on the mix bottle, using rocwood 2 stroke oil. I've diluted it slightly with more petrol so it's probably more like 55:1 Would you recommend tossing that fuel and mixing up some more fuel?
  12. I've filled up a petrol canister with 5L of petrol and forgot that it was previously used for diesel. There was basically just a film of diesel on the inside and now it's mixed into the petrol, which is what I'm assuming is causing my saw to smoke like crazy?? Will this cause any damage since it's been extremely diluted?
  13. And is it necessary to recalibrate the autotune after rebuilding a saw? (Husqvarna 545)
  14. Saws running well, carb just needs a rebuild and it should be good to go. However I've encountered an issue with my fuel mix, I've mixed it at a 50:1 ratio but it's smoking like mad when cutting. I'm thinking the mix is oil rich or it's low quality oil?? Rocwood brand
  15. Is there any prep work I should be doing to the cylinder before reassembly? I've read conflicting things about rehoning, not sure if the cylinder has glazing some of the crosshatching is still visible.
