Nope defo not talking about the small stump at the back. As all corraspondence has been going on about that stump, and he's only mentioned that one stump! Ive asked him to send me the photos of his concerns as he said he has them for proof, but yet to recieve them. I've been back to the site, and its not been touched since I was last there, so dont know how his gardener could say she couldn't plant. Had a dig about, stump gone. He's even now gone as far as reporting us to Checkatrade as a "Rogue Trader" 🤔 Glad I had the photos! Off to the small claim's it will be!

Thanks, trying hard not to lose my shit on him. Been out to site, and checked it, and no problem. He's coming back now with getting someone out to finish the job and deducting that of my invoice. I'd find it hard to agree with, if I was asked to look at this job.

Been in this trade a long time, and never came across this problem. Was asked to remove a stump. Removed the stump. Now customer says the stumps still there🤔 Here's before, during, and after...IMG_6101.heicIMG_6102.heicIMG_6102.heicIMG_6110.heic I know I'm getting old but WTF!! Keep asking him to send me pictures of his issue, as he says the stumps still there, but he sends no photos, just threats that if we take it further, he'll counter claim, for his lawyers, and time lost and how his gardener lost a days work because she could not plant there. Anyone else ever had to deal with non payers?
  6. Sorry to say, but Plumpton have satiated the industry with the 8 week course, giving false hope that people will be a fully qualified "Tree Surgeon" Unfortunately you might have all those tickets, but it takes a minium of 2 years to gain experiance. Myself, I wouldnt have the time to guide you around a tree most days, unless its quiet. So I'd rater pay for someone with years of experience, who can be left to do the job properly. All I'd offer anyone with less than 2 years, is ground work only, and even then I wouldn't be happy with them on the saw with only a few weeks training. So you would be a very qualified labour. Best way to learn the industry is grass roots up!. Good luck though!

  8. Anthony Robins of the "Tree World" Nah! Would rather give it away then have someone like this have my reviews. Thanks though. I've got few ideas now.
  9. 56.. and F*^* knows... You get to this age with the aches and pains and hope that you've got some good lads. But like anyone who's in this game knows, we cant rely on our subbies.
  10. Perfect... Yes, forgot website with email address and landline!.. Thank you! .... That's what I'm thinking, someone local who would be a competitor, surly it's worth something to them. Thanks for everyone's input. Getting old in the game and its knowing when to put tools down.
  11. Yeah, I think this could be an option. Thanks! ... Also could be a good opportunity for someone young and new to the trade, as it's an established name that's been running around... Why on earth would an idiot with redundancy want to throw himself into this trade at that age! Haha!
  12. Just looking for some advice, Been running now for 30 years, have a great name and logo, with nearly 1000 great reviews on Checkatrade. A lot of repeat customers. Thinking of jumping out, as pinning down reliable subbies getting hard. How would I value it as a Business, (if that's possible). If so, where to advertise it?. It will come with the Name & Logo, mobile number , the reviews, book of numbers of customers, saws, tipper truck (Logo front, back, sides) Forst 6 Chipper ST6 low hours and full kits
