I've done my cross cutting and maintenance, and small tree felling tickets, half way through the week of training I met an employer and have got a job to go into next month, getting some tickets opens doors, and is a very good way to meet new contacts

Good stuff, be nice burning some oak wood, I used to camp at a place that has some oak trees, the seasoned branch wood was a good slow burner in the firebox

Sounds nice that mate Think there's around thirty plots in this wood There's only two fairly young oaks in here, but there is some impressive mature oaks in other parts of the wood Do you camp in your wood? I'm out tonight, think it's going to be a cold one, but nice with the wood stove going

Cheers WP No not selling, the wood will be used in here, either as building material, or firewood I usually cut low then level the stumps off at near ground level, these couple of larch had a twist in the bottom of the trunk, and I thought they might spin off in the wrong direction so cut the notches in a bit higher

Cheers, I was a bit dubious of felling this Larch, it had a slight lean on it along with its neighbouring tree after storm Arwen, but had they uprooted themselves they would have landed on top of my camp, glad to say they landed where I planned for
