  1. No, very good point. Sorry I didn’t add that in my post. I use the decompression and eventually it starts and yes choke is on, no difference it fuel I mix or aspens. Thanks.
  2. Good morning, looking for some advice on my Stihl MS261. It’s not that old or done that much work probably about 15 hours but I always have trouble starting it. Takes me between eight and ten attempts to get it going, but when it goes it’s not a problem and starts first time once warm. changed fuel filter air filter and spark plug with fresh fuel made sure it’s in summer or winter mode is there anything I can do to try and get it started better? Thanks.
  3. Thanks for the reply. That was my thoughts exactly, but I’m still new in the game. I’m trying to do my research and get advice before doing so I continue to learn an offer for the best results. As for the straight stems. The tree got pruned a few years back and that’s all it’s done is sent up loads of straight stems so that’s what I’ve been asked to rectify
  4. Good morning, hope you’re all managing to stay warm. I’m looking for a little bit of advice, what are peoples thoughts about pruning and reducing eucalyptus in these cold conditions? Thanks.
  5. Good evening everyone, hope you’re well. Due to the bad weather I’ve been asked to look at the damage of an apple tree I’ve gone and taken a look and give my opinion. Not sure they liked what I said. I was just Just interested to find out if your opinion would be the same as mine. Please find attached photos. Thanks.
  6. Yes, I do landscaping and garden maintenance. Done courses for felling small trees and done my aerial rescue, but need someone to help with some bigger jobs and knows what they’re doing.
  7. Good morning all just testing the waters to see if anyone would be interested in a couple of days here and there reducing trees? Been asked by a few customers If I could carry out work on the trees, give a canopy reduction, bringing down 3 to 4 m. in the Northamptonshire area. If anyone is interested, please drop me a message on here or give us a call to discuss further on 079230 80217 Thanks Rob

    Insurance

Good afternoon, hope you’re well. My insurance is coming up for renewal and was wondering what insurance company do you guys use? Can anyone recommend? Thanks
  9. Cheers fella will have a look now. 👍
  10. Thanks for the info. That is what I’m leaning towards but thought I’d ask hear first. Would you have a brand for me to take a look at? Quote

  12. Good evening, hope you’re enjoying the bank holiday looking for recommendations for a good set of ladders/tripod ladder for cutting large shrubs and hedging. Mine used to belong to my dad so they’re quite old but unfortunately I’ve killed them. Can anyone recommend anything? Many thanks. Rob
  13. Thanks will looking to them and have a look.
  14. Thanks will look into it.
  15. Good morning, hope you’re all well. Can anyone recommend a small chipper that would be ideal to use in small gardens, where access is limited. Gates around this size 915 x 1829 mm roughly. It would also be useful to go in the back of the van or on a small trailer to leave with the lads when doing hedges. Many thanks

    Pricing.

Not my best work, but managed to get it looking sort of okay. As promised Post a photo when it’s done.

    Pricing.

Thanks again it is exactly that we’ve had a long discussion about it and I’ve told her there would be an additional cost and in the long run. If I have to then take it out at a later date, it would be more as it will be a second visit, I could do it all in one go. I did one for them a few years back and I was very happy with the work and the shape. Of course it could never be a full dome shape as it would have no top growth but more the case it’s feathered in to make it a nice shape. Guess we will see how it turns out lol. Photos to follow after the job. Thanks for the message.

    Pricing.

Totally agree I’ve told her that it will be difficult as all the inside will be dead. There’s a good chance. She’ll ask me to take it out but she would like to see first. Thanks

    Pricing.

No, she has been warned that there will be nothing left in the top, and it will still be tall enough that she won’t see the top but try and shape the sides before it gets to the brown dead stuff as it won’t recover.

    Pricing.

Thank you mate for the information really does help. The trunk is about 10 inch where it needs cutting. The customer would like it shaping into a dome or a ball which we can do. Most of the work can be done from the other side in her garden so yeah about an hour. Thanks again Lux.

    Pricing.

Thanks Foggy. I totally agree with what you’re saying. I’m new in the game but seem to be finding plenty of work at the moment. Of course, I don’t want to be the cheapest, but then at the same time I want to be fair with my pricing. Thanks again.

    Pricing.

Morning all. Hope all are well. Just recently I have been asked to take out the tops for a few conifers in the same village but at different property. My question is what price would you be asking for to take out the top and reshape and to dispose of the waste? I think my pricing is fair but don’t want to be to cheep and course myself problems down the line or make it harder for people in the industry. Thanks
  23. Thanks all for the photos and the information. Much appreciated.
