  1. I absolutely love it here, I prefer this setting over western Canada's Rocky Mountains and pristine rivers. Timing is key for the best colours, the maples turn early before most other trees, bringing in predominantly red colours, ranging from pinkish to rouge. The first week of October is prime, a little earlier further north and little later in the populated areas of Toronto/ Niagara and the shores of Lake Ontario
  2. I would say so, Ontario wss quite remote until the automobile came in, but this area was populated prior to that era and logging/ milling went hand in hand with habitation across the board here
  3. some people are the highest level of what they are. The world needs more people like this to level the playing field when things get absurd
  4. Definitely an interesting character. Can't beat signed memorabilia.
  5. This is a system of caves where the edge of the Escarpment broke off and created a sulystrm of crevices in the rock. The natives used to use the cold deep crevices to keep food cold. Temperatures would remain at 5C til July
  6. Thats a big project! Much bigger than Niagara. I was guessing that one of the tubes was for pumping water back up because the lake is clearly not self sustaining for the volume of water needed
  7. Thank you, I'm blessed to live relatively close by. Lots to discover on future visits. Ill see if I can get a tour of the modern plant
  8. Thank you, it was a great experience even though I've been there about 20 times before
  9. definitely heart-wrenching. There was more than one loss, more costlier than the other
  10. I caught the tail end of his build and some usage. I gave Joe some strength after losing his dad and he has come a long way and I've driven him to get himself out there. because of his passed down talents.
  11. I went to visit my friend to see his homemade wood boiler and sawmill. He got the design of the sawmill from Matthew Cremona
  12. I did a video on the Avro Lancaster out of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario Canada recently.I will be doing more material on WWII in the future. I will be touring my workspace which is an original building in a complex that was Established by King George in 1940 to assemble arms for WWII. There are accessible tunnels which I hope to tour once the weather gets warmer.
  13. actually I have the formula and I don't really need you to keep me afloat. However, I thought you might enjoy. The firewood crowd on this side of the pond are much more appreciative.
  14. I;m a little Irish, descended from those who came to Trinidad. Some trees are still green here. I hate the winter so bring on the warm fall. One year here, it was like summer till the end of October. Last year was kinda wet, can't quite remember, but doing a lot of salmon and steelhead fishing tells me so. I wish I did my filming last year, as well as at Niagara. Would've been too windy for the drone last year, it was hot and when its a lot warmer than it should be, its always windy
