To the guy who is on £384 a day. What kit are you bringing for that? Is that just climber, saws and rigging kit?
Just me, simple climbing kit and a couple of saws. I don't really get involved in anything that would need much in the way of rigging these days.
Edit. I should have mentioned, the 384 includes VAT.

Second the Hailo with adjustable foot. Being able to set it up vertical in seconds on uneven ground saves so much faffing
Hailo for me too. I think I bought mine from Screwfix some years ago.

When I retired from climbing in about 2008 my day rate was £275. I still do the odd bit as an excuse to keep my kit but now my day rate is £384. I'm in the south of England.

Yep, always been like that. The standard sized bottles are 1, 2, 4 and 6 pints I think.

Interesting to hear there might be a legal rout if need be but it's not come to that yet. Just got my dander up last night when we get a rubbish review for logs that were not supplied by us. Much happier now it it's been removed.
Rather not mention names at present Mick.
One of the tests for an action of passing off is whether or not someone is likely to confuse the businesses. If you've had a review because someone mistook your business for the other, you are half way to proving your case already.

In the first instance, get your solicitor to send a 'cease and desist' letter and see what happens.

I'm working on a similar project myself (albeit on a smaller scale) and can't quite bring myself to have the closed side facing the prevailing wind as here that's from the SW and will also block a lot of sunshine getting on the logs. Does this really matter, or is rain protection and airflow the name of the game?
Groundie/climber current rates?

Nope. I don't have a truck or a chipper these days.
