  1. I adapted an Axminster tools extractor which works well. My problem is what to do with the sawdust. I extract it direct from the processor into the plastic liner from IBC cages. So I end up with a 1metre square plastic container full of sawdust. All suggestions gratefully received......or anybody wan some shavings?
  2. I had a similar problem with mine. Ram didnt work properly and when it did, was down on power. Took power supply off another tractor, not the one it was attatched to and it worked fine so decided fault may have been insufficient voltage on tractor it was attached to. I didnt have time to check voltage output at the time but as its an old donkey tractor it is quite possible alternator output was down.
  3. Beech from woods locally. Loads more on the site as its one of the places where I walk my dog. Nothing like checking the provenance yourself!
  4. Tajfun 400. Looked at quite a few before buying it. Seems more robust that most of the others.
  5. Was Devon, now Somerset near to Taunton. 2 big biomass boilers to feed and a hankering to sell a bit as I have a humongous processor that is just begging to be used more. Main requirement is for my own use though. I am looking for about 100 cube.
  6. Just bought some from Dave Radford, hard , with a request for some soft when he can spare some. Tried Tilhill but I would need to add to the National Debt at their prices. Just doesnt seem to be any lying about. Cut it, cart it and flog it seems to be the way it is.
  7. Not as yet but they do have a system for registering and then bidding on lots I believe. Must be open and above board. https://england.etimbersales.net/guidance-on-how-to-buy-timber/
  8. With the rising costs of roundwood from dealers, I thought I would take a look at buying direct from Forestry Commission at roadside. Does anyone know of a haulier who works on a freelance basis in the South West, Somerset Devon sort of area and the rough costs involve of hiring an artic or lorry and drag to collect timber?
  9. Me to! Seems to be a severe shortage around here right now.
  10. Just bought a Tajfun 400. Awesome! 3.8 metre 35cm log, 1 minute 26 secs sliced and diced.
