  1. did all the above that you have mentioned i have being working on saws 45 yrs this is the first one that has stumped me thanks for the reply much appreciated petefran but i must be missing something i will keep at it no surrender will tell you if i get it to run all the best
  2. i am stumped first i replaced sparkplug still no spark tested the two wires with meter all good removed coil and cleaned all parts still no spark got new stihl ignition module part No.1140-400-1302 and give my stihl dealer S/N 17163674 of the saw still no spark the air gap is 0.008 to 0.012 put drill on it to spin it faster nothing so got a flywheel from a mate and it come off a working saw still no spark everything is spotless need help from you lads out there thanks petefran

  4. dont thing this is a dsc6400 piston is 45mm which is scrap label is missing all is left is TYP029 some pics can you lads tell me the model was made in 2001

  7. thank for the imfo very useful i will stip it down and let you know the chap that is delivering it on friday I worked on chainsaws a good while now but never a makita will try and send some pics aswell thanks again petefran.

  9. advice needed will a dormar 6400 piston and sylinder fit a makita dcs 6400 and if so can you lads supply the part numbers imfo. will be of great help as i was gived a makita 6400 and piston is shoot thanks petefran

  11. i repair chainsaws as i am retired a few years now working on them 40yrs plus mostly stihls and husqvara i have 3 339xp huskys at the moment from a carver all oiling but not enough would like more oil for carving bar hard nose he is using proper bar oil oregon is there a easy mod for getting more oil by drilling and what size of drill all his stihl ms201 oil fine hope i am not bothering you thanks petefran
