  7. If did make very good money but got to where I wanted to be with it and always need a challenge too plus sometimes a change and do something you enjoy and have a passion for comes to an end and farriers are not rich at all comes with emended hard work and very very long hours but the stress levels are stupid and that ruins the job in time. I did it from 15 years old and sometimes things need to change. More to the point money is not everything to me now.

  12. Hi I'm 38 plasterer looking to get into tree surgery as been an interest for me since a boy. I trained as a farrier and did that for 20years and got to the top of the industry, and have since gone on to qualify as a plasterer, but the indoors is not for me and want to get back outside. Long hours, hard work and low pay doesn't scare me as did it before and managed to make a successful business out of it by putting hard work and long hours into it. I want to do the same with tree surgery now I've applied to do some tickets in April as feel this will show I mean business but obviously they are nothing compared to experience in my eyes. I'm looking for someone to give me a shot I live in the East Midlands but travel is not a problem neither is early starts or weekends. I have a 2year old son who lives with his mum so I have him every other weekend, but given the chance I'm willi to put everything into this industry and show me keenness. Anybody willing to give me a shot please get in touch. Thanks Simon

Ran very successful business got to the top of the industry and needed a different challenge and always loved the outdoors and fancied tree surgery and now taking the opportunity to do it. Have a 2 year old who, lives with his mum but I have him every other weekend, other than that am prepared to work what ever hours required to get experience and learn the business.
