Well it's packed up already. Cutting up some wind blown limbs today. Hadn't exactly been working it hard. Set it down for a moment (still running, brake on) to clear some brash, picked it up again, let the brake off and it wouldn't spin up. Chain drive was seized up somewhere.
Stopped it and unscrew the chain drive cover and I couldn't get it off, like the brake wouldn't let go. Got the cover free in the end and I can't see what's wrong, but the cover won't go back on, it won't turn with the chain connected and the sprocket in the bar end was seized. I think the chain oiler wasn't working. The bar was very dry (chain oil tank was full).
Barely six weeks old so I won't be fiddling with it myself. Into a Husky dealer on warranty.
Went back home and got out my old 365. Even though it's a touch down on compression, it's ten times the saw that 550 is. Wish I hadn't bought it.
oh s*it i bought one last month! Second hand.

I had the worksite pack on mine, which included grip control (clever traction control modes for offroad), 30mm raised ride height, bigger (mud and snow) tyres and underbody guarding.
That made a big difference.
mines the older shape 53 reg. time for a change me thinks. dont get me wrong i love it fantastic load space if i take the seat stays out and trim i can get an ibc in it.

i have a berlingo too low to the ground even more so when loaded. i cannot get up my track wet and it is stone. I am thinking dacia duster diesel as well. 50 gallon i believe. the berlingo is the multi space but the back seats rarely down. I will have to look a space in the duster maybe strip as pointed out.

Large tree trunks surround Horfield Common, in Bristol, in a bid to 'prevent all unauthorised vehicle access' to the grass. However, not everyone welcomed the new additions.got yah lol

Monkey biz .if i remember right the end caps came loose in ur bits you knock em on and remove after pushing the uprights through.. ( might be black been a while) i struggled with them fitted so can imagine getting them through without would be hard work without damaging the bushings.

I’ve seen my arse with it tonight - everything out of the box is as-per the instructions until now.
A steel section has to pass through the mill head and will ultimately be what carries the entire mill, controlling the thickness of cut, so obviously needs to be a tight interference fit.
The instructions are very clear on there being a disposable plastic guide that is to be removed following assembly.
There is no guide in either upright, and the fit required is incredibly tight (which is good).
I’m on my own, in my happy beer-shed-Saturday-night-do-shit place. There is not a hope I can get this steel through the nylon bushes without any cutting (which I’m definitely not going to do) - those guides are definitely a necessity and are missing.
Bastardo!!!
(I’ve twatted the shit out of it with a 3x2 - it will go in with someone else lining it all up but that’s not the point!). -

Nobody on the forum listens to me, my wife never listens to me, my bank manager never listens to me (mainly because there does not seem to be one), none so deaf as those who won't hear!
