  1. A customer at a hotel where I was a waiter gave me his weekend grandstand ticket to f1 at silverstone. He had come all the way from India, but the ticket didnt arrive at the hotel when it was meant to so he booked his flight back to India because he thought the ticket wasn't going to arrive before the race weekend (he was also missing his family). The ticket did eventually arrive on time but he had already booked his flight back so gave it to me, without wanting any money for them or anything. We had spoken a few times during the week and he knew I was a big f1 fan. I'll never forget that and will always be grateful to him, hopefully one day I can do that to someone.
  2. Thanks for everybody's input and wise words, some really good advice that has been really really helpful. It's good to know there is so much support & answers out there, I'm gonna do my best to uphold all the friendly, helpful & cool vibes there are in this forum and out there in tree world. sounds corny but I don't know how else to say it!
  3. Hi, I am planning on starting a new tree surgery business, I've been qualified for a few months only. I've had my own gardening business for 4 years, wanted a change. With the tree surgery business I've done a few small jobs already and have a few larger ones lined up. It does seem like there is enough quality work out there to make the living that I am after, but my concern is finding enough consistent work 5 days a week as a new business to be able to attract a qualified groundsman. I was thinking, are there similar people out there with a new tree surgery company in the same boat? If we were in the same area we could work with each other some days and share the profit. Has anyone had similar thoughts? Cheers, Ivo.
  4. Hi, I am currently looking for a part time/trainee groundsman for my tree surgery business operating in Surrey/South London. If you're interested please contact 07482244884 or feel free to email [email protected]. Thanks, Ivo.
