  1. Hi ~ Understand will get sorted at end of year. But as I have just started setting up need as much as possible for kit etc. Tax bill will be very low in April according to Accountant. Thanks for all help Andy
  2. Hi~ Now registered as Company is now paying by CIS only. Luckily now getting work from other firms :001_smile Thanks for help:thumbup1: Just got to get them to pay promptly now:thumbdown:
  3. Hi just checked and it's a certificate of deduction you need to prove they have paid the tax.
  4. Hi- Yes had to go through the process and register. All for a couple of days non site work. Waiting for CIS number then I can get proof of payment from company . Still at a loss why paid this way for normal arb work?

  6. Hiya- Short notice but looking for work Mon\Tues/Thurs/Friday this week. Horncastle based but have own transport. Have P.P.E -Saw etc. Recently taken 38/39. Have 30/31 and chipper ticket. Just looking for groundwork and happy to feed the chipper! Also have own sandwiches and ability to not Facebook during working hours:D Andy- 07796406235 or P.M .
  7. Thanks- Hopefuly see accountant today and see if worth registering. If this only pay mental like this or if more companies pay this way have to. Just seems odd when work done is domestic and nit site stuff. Thanks Andy
  8. Hi Thanks for the reply. Answered some of my thoughts. Like you unsure how tax paid when they dont have my details. Will be getting an accountant sorted v soon. Did pick out mention of CIS payment cert off the HMRC web site. Thanks for help will have to check this out carefuly. Thanks Andy
  9. Hi-Have started out as self employed groundie. Registered as self employed with HMRC. Done some work for a firm -Usual domestic stuff. Charged day rate now have been paid less the 30% tax. Am not registered as CIS so will this cause/be a problem. Other jobs paid normally and will go through books. Am getting sorted with accountant next week. Do I need certificate for each invoice for CIS. Thanks for any info/advice. Andybike
  10. Hiya- Horncastle based looking for work employed/or self emp. Odd days week etc. Have p.p.e, saw and transport. C&Guilds Hort2, 30/31 and pa 1/6. Doing 38 in a few weeks. Mature, hard working and with previous experience as arborist . Many Thanks Andy 07796406235.

  14. Been following this thread last few weeks. Was in the same boat. Needed to change after a few years H.G.V driving. Was an arborist 30 yrs ago. At 57 made the jump back. CS 31 training this week as all my old training was out of date. Then climbing course in a couple of weeks to help employment prospects. Was in woods yesterday and realised I have made right move. Good luck for future.

  17. Hi new to the forum, but been watching for a while. Looking to get back into Arb work after long gap. Happy to groundwork. Just after info on retraining in Lincolnshire. Basic certs and first aid to get me back in. Did have these but all from years back. Anyone out there I could chat to, call etc for some info. Would be greatly appreciated Thanks Andy
