  1. I'm glad you mentioned it as I'd initially bought the Peltors but never fitted them. I bought the basic helmet and then bought the mesh visor and MSA carrier separately which then meant I needed MSA ear defenders. I would have assumed that the Peltor system would have fitted no problem even with the vizir fitted. It might be possible to trim the vizir but IMO you'd be better switching to the MSA set-up which works well IMO with the vizir even with the mesh visor also fitted which is what I use.
  2. Here's some pics showing the difference between the MSA ear defenders and the Peltor ones and the amount of clearance between them and the Petzl Vizor. The wire/spring part on the Peltor ones catch on the Vizor and as you say push the actual ear defender backwards. Above: Peltor/Vizor/MSA Ear Defenders Above: Petzl/Vizor/Peltor Ear Defenders

  7. Hi Karl, I think the problem is the Peltor ear defenders, just stuck a Peltor on my Helmet and yeah the wire part catches on the vizor, will post a pic showing the difference between the MSA defenders and the Peltor. Looks like you'll need to go for MSA.
  8. I have the vizor on my Vertex and an MSA mesh visor and ear defenders (Sordin?) , can't say I've noticed any issues.
