  1. Hi there, For the applicatins you are looking at I would suggest that a 420 isnt going to keep you happy for long with your future thoughts of running some of the more oil hungry attachments in the future. Just reading through the previous notes I would suggest either a 635 and upward would run the sort of attachments you are looking at potentially. The only part of the Avant range that do not have telescopic booms are the 200 series machines, but the latest version has more flow than 400 and 500 series machines, just doesn’t have the lift capabilities but if access width is an issue then it would be better. There is a new stump grinder available that does a much better job than previous models, but would again have to agree with the guys before a dedicated machine is much better. I am assuming you are looking at the 1500 wide flail so that it doesn’t take all day to get the job done. We do have used equipment on our site that may be of interest. http://www.reachitmoveitcrushit.com/index.php/new_used_demo_avant_loaders_gyrustar_screening_bucket_digga_auger/?k=:16:: However there are a few more machines that I need to add as I haven’t updated it lately. Give me a buzz if you want a second opinion about abilities as I also have a tree contracting business so I know what you are probably trying to get from the equipment.
  2. He defiantly shouldn't be allowed to post on YouTube, let alone drive an Avant as a demonstrator.
  3. You could get away with a 528 or even a 630 or 635 on the weight front. It would just depend upon what you have on the front, bucket, pallet tines, muck grab, log grab etc as to which one of the above is viable. However the length is the stumbling block - the only machine that will fit for length would be an Avant 420 at 2195mm. It weights in at 1030Kg without any attachments on the front of it. It has a maximum lift of 2750mm.
  4. I do have a screening bucket available for hire but it maybe a little on the large size for your machine. But you can give it a go and see if you can lift a full bucket with it.
  5. What weight can you carry on the Landrover?
  6. Hi Dan, We have both a soil screener for the Avants and also excavators, well infact for pretty well any machine. The Avant doesnt need an attachment to pull posts, but we usuall us silage forks on knocked in posts an just put a spike in low down and rotate the bucket and they pop out. If they are in concrete then a chain around the post and lift them out.

  9. Hi all, I have only just joined the group, but found this thread on which I may be of help to those who are interested in the world of Avant Loaders. I have a landscape & treework business, but running along side that i also have an Avant Sales & Hire business. So i know what the end user wants from his machine and can help you get what you want. We usually have a selection of used machines available so take a look when you get the chance. Avant Loaders UK | Gyru-star Screening Bucket | Digga Auger Drives & Attachments | Leguan Access Platforms |Sales, Service, Repairs & Hire |Finance, Loans & Funding | Reach It! - Move It! - Crush It! in Chesham, Bucks. When i work out how to pin pictures i will give you an idea of what they can do for you. For treework, the most usefull attachments are the pallet forks, silage grab and telescopic jib boom. With these 3 tools you can carry out almost all the wood you need to.
