Its to reduce suspicion. Anyone looking out their window from the direction of the camera would simply see someone visiting a neighbour. If that person happened to answer the door, all they have to ask is, is it them employing the tree surgeons as they need some work done. Obviously in this instance they know its not them, so they will be directed to the neighbour opposite, so getting nearer to the truck looking for an employee to discuss business wont arouse suspicion. These guys know what they are doing.
