Hi looking for a climber 5 days a week self employed ideally, with option of Paye if required. From support climber to fully experienced. £110-170 per day depending on experience. Please note we are looking for someone who is prepared to work as part of a team, if you like to work with people who get on with the job then you will fit in. If you ever think the following then you won't fit in: "I've done my bit I'll sit in the truck and watch everyone else work" "if I make a career move over this last branch then I won't have to drag a branch" "Ooh Great! All year round work, domestic so no avenues of street trees but some very large technical takedowns. We have a mewp in house, so ipaf would be handy. Hi we are looking for a full time climber to join us on a self employed basis working 5 days per week. Skill set anywhere between support climber level and full lead climber will be considered. We could cater for someone that is fully qualified but looking to make the step up to gaining more time in the trees. However, a good back ground in the industry would be required. Recently trained would be considered but there would be likely a period of development with the basics to give a good foundation within the industry. If fully experienced then you will be working with full ground staff so emphasis will be on the technical elements during the day. We are looking for someone to work as part of the team so if the climbing is complete then we would expect the right person to muck in with clear up etc. We undertake a full range of tree work with 70% in domestic situations which range form large technical takedowns and full clearance work to shearing hedges although the latter is relatively minimal. Day rate would be between £100 - £150 per day depending on experience and skill set. If you are capable of undertaking foreman type responsibilities then a higher rate may be considered. We would consider switching to a full time role for the right candidate after 6mths. Not yet Steve, its proving somewhat difficult to find a key member of staff for what is a very good opportunity. I am looking for someone with the ability to control the pace and quality of the crew. They must be polite and highly professional to work with. With a diligent trustworthy work ethic. The climbing element is to some degree less essential as we have another crew leader / foreman and also have experienced top end climbers in most days too! However, ideally I would like someone capable to develop other less experienced staff around them (people should always develop, its healthier). It's not a role which is going to relentlessly flog a climber, although we do work hard. But it will offer the opportunity for someone to impact on their surroundings and be an active part of the business. We run a team of 7-8 and bounce between 1-3 crews, it is during the split and holidays that this role is key, although hopefully the right person will help make a further step forward. Everything else is organised already and equipment is extensive. Oh and I don't run out of work, when times are quiet I prop up the other climbers cancelled bookings!

Would consider slightly less experienced climber if responsible enough to run a crew as we already have experienced climbers.

Hi due to this mornings RTA (everyone is fine, but the vehicle is not and they can't get here anymore), sadly I now have a gap for a climber 3 days per week. Would be prepared to split if you only fancy 1 or 2 or do more if you want to! Can also offer Saturdays at a higher rate for those working during the week. We need a climber who is capable of undertaking the large and technical stuff but also happy to crack on with smaller normal stuff. You will be working as part of a 7 person crew with full set of equipment (2 chippers, mewp, stump grinders etc). We generally have 2 lead climbers, 2 support climbers and 3 ground workers so the climbers don't get abused. You will need to enjoy the job and working as part of a team, as a positive atmosphere around the place is key for all parties. You will also be required to work and muck in when required and the climbing is done if the groundies haven't already done it all. Rates are £150 per day.
